State Road Administration sets truck traffic limitations

On several roads throughout the country, road signs have been installed to restrict truck traffic, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Ministry of Transports and Roads Infrastructure. In the villages Chislita-Prut and Rosu, Cahul district, two mobile checkpoints are in place. In Colibasi village, Cahul, additional mobile truck scales have been installed. Depending on the traffic, the scales may be in use 24 hours a day. The State Road Administration has installed road signs to reduce traffic speed below 30km/h in all the settlements on the road between Cahul and Giurgiulesti. A press release from the Traffic Police Department informs that traffic changes have been made along several sectors. The road sign 3.14 “Limited mass 20t” has been installed in Crihana village, Orhei district, on kilometer 134 of the national road R34 Hancesti-Leova-Cahul-Slobozia Mare. A similar sign was placed at the intersection of DN R34 with M3 Chisinau-Cimislia-Vulcanesti-Giurgiulesti, kilometer 203+900. Trucks will have to avoid the villages of Crihana Veche, Manta-Pascari, Vadul lui Isac, Colibas, Branza, Valeni, Slobozia Mare, Caslita Prut, Giurgiulesti, Zarnesti, Cucuara and Chircani. The District Police Commissariat in Cahul deployed a mobile police station to watch road traffic at the entrance to Slobozia Mare and installed a road sign limiting speed at 30 km/h.
