Weather forecasters anticipate that the weather will grow much colder towards the end of this week. After January 27, the temperatures will fall to minus 16°C.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Tatiana Strugac, head of the National Weather Forecasts Center, said that the daytime temperatures on Friday will range between +4 and -1 °C, while nighttime temperatures between -5 and -10 °C. The next day they will drop to -2 -8°C and, respectively, -10 -16°C. The temperatures in eastern Moldova may be lower.
There will be snow in most parts of the country on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, snow will fall only in parts of Moldova. There will a layer of ice of the roads. The wind will increase in strength. According to the forecasters, the cold weather will persist until the start of February.
The Traffic Police Division warns the drivers to be careful on the roads, to properly outfit the vehicles for winter and to check the braking system.
