A serious accident happened in the heat pipes managed by SA Termocom after the tension in the 110kV CET1-Straseni power line decreased on Thursday evening. As a result, the Vest thermal station and all the pumping stations were disconnected from the power supply and most of the consumers in Chisinau's Buiucani district remained without heat, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the heat supplier. A part of the consumers in Botanica and Centru district were also affected. Ten thermal stations in the suburban Ghidighici, Colonita, Dobruja, Ciorescu, Cricova, Tohatin, Stauceni and Bacioii-Noi were disconnected from the electricity supply. Intervention teams of SA Termocom worked at night to reconnect the consumers to the heat supply. The supply of heat was resumed by morning, except to upper Buiucani, where the repair works on the heat main go on. Steps are now taken to supply the consumers in Buiucani district according to a temporary scheme. Officials of Termocom promise the supply of hot water and heat will be resumed according to the normal regime by 6 P.M.
