Violations identified at three of inspected filling stations

The police discovered violations at three of the gas stations that were searched on April 3. A difference of minus 300 grams of gasoline per 50 liters was found at one of the stations. At another station, there were poured out by 650 grams of diesel fuel more than the electrical panel of the pump indicated. At the third station, the seal was broken, director of the Consumer Protection Agency Alexandru Cuzimuc has told IPN.

Earlier, the police announced that the motorists paid for 20 liters of fuel, but received 17-18 liters. Asked how this difference between the data of the Consumer Protection Agency and of the police can be explained, Alexandru Cuzimuc said the police probably presented figures based on certain notifications. They haven’t been confirmed yet.

Adrian Jovmir, spokesman for the Chisinau Police Division, said the police confiscated a series of documents from the filling stations, which are to be analyzed and verified. Time is needed for this process. “We cannot anticipate the events. A criminal case was started for swindle. We will draw conclusions only after an analysis,” he stated.

Under the current norms, a difference of plus-minus 50 grams is allowed for every 50 liters of fuel.
