What kind of meeting Democratic Party intends to stage and when

The Democratic Party reserved the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau for the period between June 5 and June 9 for holding a meeting with the party’s sympathizers. The information was confirmed for IPN by the party’s spokesman Vitalie Gamurari.

“It is a meeting with the sympathizers of the Democratic Party. We earlier held such meetings. The Democratic Party is a solid one and can have transparent discussions to present its accomplishments during the past three years. There could be also discussions about the programs planned by the Democratic Party. I cannot give details as I do not know them. When the meeting starts, more information will definitely become available,” stated Vitalie Gamurari, without specifying when the event will take place.

“I don’t know. When the agenda is completed, a press release will be issued. I cannot say as I’m not sure the meeting will be held tomorrow. I do not want to confirm or deny as my words could be misinterpreted. We will see if things are clearer tomorrow.”

The spokesman denied the reports that the public meeting will be held in the form of a protest amid the post-electoral negotiations.

Under an order signed by deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu on June 3, the PDM will mount a sociopolitical meeting by placing a stage, banners, sound amplifying equipment and sanitary facilities. Public order will be maintained by the General Police Inspectorate and vehicle traffic will not have access to a part of the main artery of the capital city.
