Alexei Roibu to serve as Minister of Interior
General Alexei Roibu will be the new Minister of the Interior, Prime Minister designate Vlad Filat announced in Friday's sitting of the Parliament. He also made public the names of the other ministers, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Alexei Roibu, 53, is married and has two children. In December 2009, he was appointed as director general of the Border Guard Service of Moldova.
Alexei Roibu graduated from the State Agrarian University of Moldova, took Higher Courses at the State Security Committee in Minsk and has a university degree in law from the Free International University of Moldova.
During two years since 2002, he had served as director of the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime. Afterward he worked as an independent jurist.
