The absences from the plenary sittings of Parliament to which the MPs will resort in protest at a bill or another item from the agenda will be considered justified. Such a provision in the Law on the Status of MP was approved by the Government, IPN reports.
The lawmaker must publicly announce the situation that made him leave the meeting. Otherwise, the protest will be considered unjustified absence.
The informative note to the bill says that such a change was generated by the necessity of implementing Article 28 of the Law on the Constitutional Court and by the executive’s decisions concerning the method of implementing the decisions of the Constitutional Court.
