The Chisinau Court of Appeals’ decision to order a recount of the votes cast for the Chisinau Municipal Council is good as it will eliminate all the suspicions as regards the reported violations, considers political analyst Vitali Catana. Asked by Info-Prim Neo to comment on the accusations made by the PCRM, the analyst said it is natural for the decision to be political as it refers to a political event. “If the Court of Appeals took such a decision, it probably had reasons and the necessary evidence,” said Vitali Catana. The vote recount was demanded by the Liberal Party. Earlier this week, the Centru district court rejected the Liberals’ application and the party lodged a challenge with the Court of Appeals.
