Liberal Democrat lawmaker Dr. Grigore Belostecinic, who is also the rector of the Economics Academy of Moldova and a professor there, grabbed his former student Communist MP Grigore Petrenco by one year in the middle on the Thursday's session in Parliament, after he felt insulted by the latter during debates on a student union bill, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Belostecinic demonstrated his level of education and of political culture. It's a disgrace that we have such ill-mannered rectors in Moldova. Such rectors should be banished and I think a time will come when he'll be kicked out by his own students”, fumed Grigore Petrenco in reaction to his former teacher's gesture. Dr. Grigore Belostecinic told reporters that it was only a joke. “In fact, I'm ashamed that that man was once my student, as I think that he did something wrong. That young man is totally irresponsible and he has never been able to control his quick temper”, replied Belostecinic.
