Prime Minister Vlad Filat invited again former President Vladimir Voronin to a public debate, including in the context of the last statements on the economic developments in Moldova made by the Communist leader, Info-Prim Neo reports.
After Thursday's meeting of the Government, the Premier said that in September 2009, when the present administration took over, the economy was 7.8% down, while in the first half of 2010 the economic growth was 5.6%, with the national public budget deficit decreasing from 15% to 5.4%.
“When statements are made, we should take into account at least the statistical data. The ordinary people need these public debates,” Vlad Filat said.
The Premier invited Vladimir Voronin to a meeting on November 26, starting at 8pm. The place is to be agreed.
Asked if he will accept the invitation to a debate made by the leader of the Social Democratic Party Victor Selin, Vlad Filat said he wants to speak with Voronin, not with his or Mark Tkachuk's satellites.
