Igor Grosu reacts to no-confidence motion initiated by PSRM

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu reacted to the no-confidence motion initiated by the Party of Socialists. The official assured that the Parliament, together with the Government, will ensure that the Republic of Moldova goes through this winter well, "despite the fact that the opposition together with their friends from the Kremlin want to sow panic and weaken the state institutions,"  IPN reports.

"The opposition, the one that is absent from the Parliament’s sessions or that worships an aggressor state, decided to initiate a no-confidence motion against the Government, invoking “the incapacity to take effective measures to protect the citizens". I want to remind them that every year, ahead of winter, the Moldovans are threatened that they will freeze namely by this opposition’s "friends" from the Kremlin," said Igor Grosu.

The Party of Socialists announced that it decided to initiate a no-confidence motion, accusing the Government of the continuous crisis in the energy sector and of incapacity to take effective measures to protect the citizens and the economy of the country.

For the motion to be examined in the Parliament’s plenary session, the draft should be signed by at least 26 MPs, and 51 votes of MP are needed to dismiss the Cabinet.
