Independence Day agenda published

Festivities to celebrate Moldova’s 26th Independence Day on August 27 will traditionally begin with wreath-laying ceremonies at the Stephen the Great Monument and the Bereaved Mother Memorial, IPN learned from a Government press release.

The Great National Assembly Square will host a variety of cultural and artistic events, including folk music and brass band performances. The lineup includes the famous dancing ensemble “Joc”, the Music Academy’s Big Jazz Orchestra, and the Advahov Brothers Orchestra.

The concert will culminate with a pop music show featuring Moldovan and foreign singers.

Also, 20 amateur artistic companies will march in a parade to showcase the variety and value of folk costumes, and folk artisans will exhibit their works in a specialized fair.
