The public amenities sector of Chisinau faces serious problems, starting with the equipment and response capacity of the specialized subdivisions and ending with the working conditions of employees, stated the Socialist candidate for mayor Ion Ceban, who aims to remedy the situation in the field when he is elected mayor, IPN reports.
The candidate said he will conduct broad inventorying in the public amenities sector and will order the parallel auditing of each enterprise working in the sector. Only five most efficient of the 23 enterprises, most of which are now insolvent, will remain.
Ion Ceban noted the proper equipment of these enterprises is a key objective. “Evidently, we cannot speak only about the optimization of the enterprises and ignore those who work for these. We consider it is real to identify possibilities for increasing employees’ salaries after the area is reformed. We also aim to provide them with meal vouchers,” he stated.
To attract young specialists to the public amenities sector in Chisinau, the candidate for mayor will suggest proposals for providing them with dwellings at least while they are in service, if not for life.
