The government coalition is obliged to make sure that the Leanca Government completes its mandate so as to initial the Association Agreement with the EU at the Vilnius EaP Summit and, especially, to ensure the signing of the agreement next autumn. Simultaneously, the current Government has the task of preparing the country for the parliamentary elections of November 30, 2014, the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat said in a program on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.
At the Eastern Partnership Summit of this November, Moldova will only initial the Association Agreement with the EU. The technical procedures for preparing the documents needed for signing the agreement will follow. The signing itself is to take place next autumn, said the ex-Premier.
“I don’t want somebody to say that we missed the chance of coming closer to the European Union because of me or my party colleagues. Together with the partners from the government coalition we must concentrate our efforts on the implementation of all the undertaken projects,” said Vlad Filat.
The EaP Summit will take place in Vilnius on November 29.
