The MPs will be able to discharge judges of the Constitutional Court (CC) if the latter break the oath. A bill to this effect was passed in two readings on May 3, at the suggestion of the Communists, IPN reports.

The constitutional judges will be dismissed by the votes of 61 MPs, at the proposal of 25 lawmakers. The term for examining challenges by the CC judges was reduced from six to three months.

One of the bill authors Artur Reshetnikov said the bill contributes to ensuring the observance of the Constitution and to establishing the rule of law in Moldova.
