The legislature Friday accepted the resignation of 11 lawmakers. Most of them renounced their seats in Parliament in favor of posts in the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. The 11 lawmakers include six MPs of the Liberal-Democrat group – Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca, Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase, director of the State Agency on Intellectual Property Lilia Bolocan, Minister of Education Mihail Shleahtitski, and the rector of the Academy of Economic Studies Grigore Belostecinic. The Democrat group will no more include Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, Minister of Information and Communication Technology Pavel Filip, Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga, and Minister of Regional Development and Construction Marcel Raducan. Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru left the Liberal group. The 11 MPs will be replaced by parties' substitute candidates. The Central Election Commission will submit the names of the candidates to the Constitutional Court for approval. Until then, the Commission, whose composition was confirmed in Friday's sitting, is to constitute its executive bodies.
