The leader of the Liberal Party (PL) Mihai Ghimpu admitted that the talks on the constitution of the Alliance for European Integration were based on the distribution of posts between the components. In a program on PRO TV Chisinau on May 2, Mihai Ghimpu said the ruling alliance is facing a communication crisis, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I don't like talking about the alliance as it was formed only for obtaining posts. There is no communication and understanding between the components,” said the leader of the PL. He did not want to explain the causes of the communication crisis, arguing that any related statement made in the period of the election campaign can cause disagreements among the voters. “The truth will come out one day. The alliance will anyway work despite the fact that we are very different. If we destroy the alliance, Europe will abandon us. The stake is too high. The ruling alliance must resist, even if we don't like meeting each other,” Mihai Ghimpu stated. According to him, if the leaders of the parties that form part of the alliance do not come to terms, other persons or representatives of the three parties should make sure that harmony is reached. Mihai Ghimpu said the alliance will continue to face problems owing to the persons who form part of it, but it should exist no matter what.
