European Union ambassadors are expected to give their consent in the near future for the EU bloc's lethal military aid to Moldova, IPN reports.
When asked by IPN, the press attaché of the EU delegation in Chisinau, Luciano Scambiato Licciardi, confirmed the offer of military support through the European Peace Facility and said that an answer could be given in the coming weeks.
The aid package is worth €20 million, which will be used to purchase eight short-range air defense systems, launchers and 24 missiles. It is the biggest such support for Moldova since Brussels launched the "European Peace Facility" in 2021.
