Moldovan servicemen to take part in military parade in Romania

The acting Government on November 18 decided to allocate over 100,000 lei from the executive’s reserve fund for the participation of a platoon of 31 National Army servicemen in the parade staged on Romania’s National Day or Great Union Day. The event will take place in the Constitution Square in Bucharest on December 1, 2015, IPN reports.

The Moldovan servicemen were invited to march with Moldova’s flag alongside the Romanian servicemen as part of a special detachment constituted on this occasion. The Romanian side will cover the accommodation and feeding costs, while the Moldovan side – the travel expenses and daily allowances.

The measure is aimed at strengthening the regional political-military dialogue and the strategic partnership with Romania and forms part of the activities stipulated in the agreement on cooperation in the military sector between the Government of Moldova and the Government of Romania.
