The Cabinet accepted Lilian Darie as Moldova’s Ambassador to Belgium. Lilian Darie is a career diplomat with 20 years of service. He served as deputy minister, took part in a number of diplomatic missions and knows several languages.
Sergey Mihov was accepted as Ambassador to Lithuania, Tatiana Pirvu as Ambassador to the Netherlands, while Denis Jelimalai as Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. Also, it was decided that Ambassador to Greece Anatolie Vangheli will also serve as Ambassador to Cyprus, while Ambassador to Austria Victor Osipov also as Ambassador to Slovenia.
Under the Law on the Diplomatic Service, the ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary are named and recalled by the President of the Republic of Moldova, at the suggestion of the Government. The candidates are fielded by the minister of foreign affairs and European integration after consulting the Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration.
