Parliament convenes tomorrow

The legislative body’s sitting interrupted on June 24 will continue on July 5, the Parliament’s press service has informed, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The agenda of the sitting includes 12 items. Among them is the bill on the import of certain goods, the bill concerning the regulation of entrepreneurial activities by authorization, the bill on the implementation of the one-stop office principle, the draft decision on the Parliament’s budget for 2011, and bills to amend articles of the Broadcasting Code, the Code of Administrative Offenses, the State Tax Law, and others. The same day, the Parliament’s Standing Bureau will meet to decide if sittings will take place on Thursday and Friday, when the meetings are usually held. Earlier, Head of Parliament Marian Lupu said a festive sitting of the legislature may take place on July 6, where the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy is expected to give a speech. Last week, the lawmakers did not come together for a sitting because the Palace of the Republic, where the sittings are held, housed the meeting of the signatory countries of the Aarhus Convention.
