The Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu, together with his wife, declared total incomes of 766,000 lei in 2024, including salaries, remuneration from additional activities, leasing of properties and allowances. The Grosu family owns a number of donated or purchased buildings and lots. Also, the Speaker recently raised two loans to the value of 233,500 lei, according to his declaration of assets submitted to the National Integrity Authority, IPN reports.
In 2024, Igor Grosu earned 244,600 lei in salaries. His wife declared income from the salary, provision of services and training services in the total amount of 317,200 lei.
The Grosu family also declared income from lasing out an apartment – €2,400, income from daily allowances of 101,300 lei and compensatory payments from Parliament of 31,000 lei.
The Speaker’s children received allowances from the Romanian state in the total amount of 6,400 Romanian lei, which is equal to 25,000 lei.
The family of the Speaker of Parliament owns agricultural land worth over 144,800 lei. The most expensive lot is located in a built-up area and was purchased in 2011 for over 130,600 lei.
Igor Grosu declared two houses, one of which is 82 square meters in area and was donated in 2017, and another one of about 122 square meters, bought in 2011.
The family also owns a 47-square-meter apartment bought in 2000 and a commercial space bought in 2011.
Three other buildings, donated in 2017, are also among the properties of the Grosu family.
According to the declaration of assets, the Speaker’s family owns a Volkswagen Touran car made in 2009, which was acquired in 2017 for €7,800.
Igor Grosu also declared two loans, both taken out in 2024 – of 200,000 lei and of 33,500 lei respectively.
Igor Grosu has been a member of Parliament since 2019, and Speaker of Parliament since 2021. He has also headed the Party of Action and Solidarity since 2022.
