The partnership between the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina, which this year marks 25 years, is an excellent example of cooperation and mutual trust. Thanks to this partnership, Moldova has benefited from numerous opportunities, including improved education, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated during a meeting in Raleigh with North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall, IPN reports.
The chief of the Moldovan diplomatic service stressed that, thanks to this partnership, the Republic of Moldova has benefited from multiple opportunities, including the improving of education through school exchanges, book donations, training for civil servants, educational programs in dentistry and pharmacology.
In the spring of this year, the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina was renewed in Chisinau.
Popșoi and Marshall set the priorities for next year and agreed to expand cooperation in such areas as agriculture and environmental protection.

During the joint working visit to Raleigh, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu met with North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and discussed the initiatives that strengthened cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina.
"Roy Cooper said he was glad that he had the opportunity to actively participate in strengthening the bilateral relations, a partnership that brings important benefits to both sides," reads a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In connection with the marking of 25 years of cooperation, Mihai Popșoi invited Roy Cooper to visit Chisinau to see the significant impact of the partnership on the development of the Republic of Moldova.
