Chisinau City councilor Grigore Grădinaru (PAS) will join his party group in Parliament to fill the seat left vacant by his colleague, Sergiu Lazarencu, who was recently appointed Minister of the Environment.
The Electoral Commission on Wednesday formally took note of the vacancy and requested the Constitutional Court to validate Grădinaru’s MP mandate.
Grădinaru, 46, is an economist by profession. Following the local general elections last fall, he won a seat in the Chisinau City Council.
