PDM suggests installing gas detectors in homes of persons in need gratis

The Democratic Party (PDM), which holds most of the seats of MP, requested the Government to come up with solutions for reducing the cases of carbon monoxide poisonings in the home. Installing free gas detectors in the houses of families in need would be a first step, IPN reports.

The PDM also suggests carrying out awareness-raising campaigns to inform the people about the cases of carbon monoxide poisoning and taking measures to prevent such cases, the Democratic leader Vlad Plahotniuc said in a press briefing after the weekly meeting of the PDM.

Another subjects discussed in the meeting was the complaints about lack of transparency in setting the final interest rate submitted by people who raised loans. The commercials say zero interest or a very low interest is charged, but the interest is actually higher when the person repays the loan. The interest in the lending contracts is often not seen as it is written with smaller letters or in an inconspicuous place of the contract. A legislative proposal will be formulated to make the lenders to clearly indicate all the charged commissions, stated Vlad Plahotniuc.

In the same meeting, the PDM decided to offer political support to two registered legislative initiatives. One envisions the introduction of integrity certificates in the file of candidates who want to occupy an executive post. The certificate will be issued by the National Integrity Authority within 15 days of the day the application is submitted. The second initiative refers to the extension in the related legislation of the mechanism defined in the electoral legislation on the promotion of women in politics.
