The Democratic Party (PDM) agrees to vote for the proposals submitted by the PLDM to Parliament, but no pressure should be made, the party’s president of honor of the PDM Dumitru Diacov, who heads the Democratic parliamentary group, said in a news conference on July 12, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Our colleagues from the PLDM knock at an open door. The PDM voted for bills proposed by the PLDM in first reading and will continue to vote,” Dumitru Diacov said, replying to the Liberal-Democrats’ call to the alliance colleagues to support the legislative initiatives put forward by them.
Dumitru Diacov also said there should be identified compromises and they should not demand including bills in the agenda. “It is harder to work in a coalition, but the population expects serious decisions from the members of the coalition. We are ready to work without vacation if need be. We call on Valeriu Strelet (the leader of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group) and the other colleagues to submit to Parliament as many bills as possible,” said Dumitru Diacov.
The MP also said that the agenda of the sittings is initially discussed within the Council of the Alliance for European Integration. “Our young colleague should know that for the second reading the bills in the agenda are included by specialized commissions, not parliamentary groups,” he stated.
On July 11, the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group called on the lawmakers of the Liberal Party and the Democratic Party to vote in favor of a number of bills proposed by the Liberal-Democrats, in second reading, until the MPs’ vacation. The bills concern the integrity of civil servants and the declaration of incomes by them, liquidation of specialized courts, combating of corruption and other issues.
