President Nicolae Timofti has discussions with the leaders of the parliamentary groups with a view to agreeing an agenda of consultations for choosing a candidate for premiership, IPN reports.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state on June 30 had separate meetings with the leader of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Vlad Filat and the leader of the Democratic group Marian Lupu. It was agreed that the political negotiations on the formation of a pro-European coalition and to identity a candidate for Prime Minister will be hasted.
The Communist faction informed Nicolae Timofti through its leader Violeta Ivanov that it is ready to take part in consultations with the head of state in accordance with the agenda.
The meetings with the leaders of the parliamentary groups of the Liberal Party and the Party of Socialists are yet to be agreed.
