The Party of Socialists requested that the Democrats should free the state institutions and should allow the Cabinet led by Maia Sandu to enter the Government Building. The request was made in a news conference given by Socialists after the Democratic Party repeated its invitation to a dialogue on June 11, IPN reports.
“They should not block things and should remove the tents. We want a return to legality and our invitation to them is to return to legality,” stated Socialist MP Ion Ceban. In another development, he called on the Democratic heavyweight Andrian Candu not to interpret the messages coming from outside, which show the Sandu Government is recognized by the international community.
Ion Cebanu also said the legal action taken by the Prosecutor General’s Office over the financing of the PSRM should meet the legal norms. “We are ready to present all the necessary proofs whenever need be so that the proceedings are free,” he stated.
As to the June 11 sitting of Parliament, MP Vlad Bătrîncea said the Standing Bureau included the annulment of the mixed electoral system and the setting of the date of local elections in the agenda.
