Romanian Senate delegation to visit Chisinau

A delegation of the commission for foreign policy of the Romanian Senate, headed by the commission’s chairman Titus Corlatean, is expected to arrive in Chisinau on February 13, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Parliament, the delegation will be in Moldova until February 16. They will pay the visit at the invitation of the chairman of the commission on foreign policy and European Integration of the Moldovan legislature Igor Corman. The Romanian senators will take part in a public debate themed “Moldova – Romania – the EU” at the State University of Moldova. According to the program of the visit, the delegation will have separate meetings with Moldova’s Acting President and Head of Parliament Marian Lupu, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca, Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase, chairman of the commission on foreign policy and European Integration Igor Corman, and the parliamentary group leaders Mihai Godea, Dumitru Diacov, Ion Hadarca, and Maria Postoico. The delegation consists of senators Viorel Badea, Catalin-Radu Mardare, Marian-Iulian Rasaliu, and Augustin-Daniel Humelnicu.
