Prime Minister Dorin Recean has opened an account on the social network Bluesky, thus expanding his online presence, IPN reports. Government spokesman Daniel Voda said that the initiative reflects the premier's commitment to communicate directly with people interested in the Republic of Moldova and current events here.

"Through Bluesky, the Prime Minister intends to provide real-time updates and interact in a more accessible way with international audiences," Daniel Voda said.

Foreign media reports that social media platform Bluesky has attracted millions of new users following the US presidential election results. A number of academics, journalists, left-wing politicians and celebrities have said they will join the platform formerly backed by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
