The "Together" bloc on Wednesday presented seven measures aimed at improving the natural gas acquisition process and preventing the increase in charges for consumers. At a press conference, the party's representatives drew attention to the problems witnessed in this sector and criticized the absence of an action plan on the part of the Government. They urged to urgently adopt the proposed solutions to ensure the state's energy security before the cold season, IPN reports.

Energy expert Sergiu Tofilat, a member of the "Together" political bloc, stressed that while other European countries already have strategies for the cold season, uncertainty persists in the Republic of Moldova. He called on the authorities to take immediate measures to avoid a new energy crisis and to protect consumers from increases in charges.

According to the "Together" bloc, the issue of gas purchases is frequently discussed, but without significant progress. The lack of a concrete plan for the cold season can lead to unjustified increases in charges.

Among the proposed solutions are the transfer of the responsibility for gas purchase from Moldovagaz to Energocom, the approval of a clear government gas purchase plan and the monthly monitoring of its implementation, the conducting of an external audit on access to the systems used for gas tender contests, the development of internal rules to prevent manipulations, and the transfer of the state-owned energy companies to the Ministry of Energy.
