Alexandru Oleinic, managing co-chairman of the People’s Party of Moldova (PPRM), considers that the events that followed the hunting incident in the Domneasca Forest, which resulted in the death of a man, revealed the rottenness and cynicism of the political class and the inability of the current government, the leaders of the alliance, to manage the crisis situations that appear, to quickly and efficiently mobilize to deal with the negative consequences that divide society and create a negative image to the country, that affect the image of a state that wants to become part of the EU, Info-Prim Neo reports. The People’s Party calls on the political forces and civil society to show tolerance and national consensus, while the ruling parties are asked to take measures that would contribute to the solving of the crisis and to real changes felt by the people. “Time has come for the persons with responsible posts, the lawmakers that created the alliance in which the people put great hope, to overcome the phase of hatred and stiff opposition to each other and to become, if not friends, at least members of a united team that is able to manage the country,” said Alexandru Oleinic. Otherwise, said the politician, early legislative elections will be needed for the people to decide whom to entrust Moldova’s future fate. “If not, the people risk becoming hostage of interminable dirty games, while the European dream and the dream of visa-free borders would become utopian, a missed chance,” stated Alexandru Oleinic. The incident in the Domneasca Forest happened on February 23, but the public opinion found out about it only on January 6. The leaders of the Alliance for European Integration admitted that the interaction between law enforcement bodies was defective. It was decided to constitute a parliamentary commission of inquiry to examine this case and assess the steps taken by persons holding responsible posts.
