The leader of the Transnistrian region Vadim Krasnoselsky condemns the lack of reaction on the part of the international community to the alleged terrorist attacks in the region. “Time passed, things calmed down, the negotiation process continued. But nobody suspected that after 30-32 years, a series of terrorist attacks on Transnistria would start again - different in content, but all with a common goal – to sow panic among the population of the region,” Vadim Krasnoselsky told regional media, being quoted by IPN.
In addition to the common goal, “the terrorist attacks of 1992, 2022, 2023 and 2024 have one common feature: the lack of condemnation reaction from the international community and so-called human rights organizations.” “Only the Russian Federation condemned the recent actions in the regions. The others keep silent. What are they thinking? Are they hoping for a deal with terrorists? But this is not allowed,” said the Transnistrian leader.
The Moldovan authorities haven’t yet commented on these assertions. Last week, the Bureau for Reintegration Policies said the video images with the recent incident involving a military helicopter in the Transnistrian region contained obvious elements of video montage. This indicates that the helicopter fire was caused by other factors than the drone shown in the images. More such actions are planned to be staged by the Russian Federation in the perimeter of the Transnistrian region and the Security Zone in the immediate period, according to the institution.
