Vice President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Premysl Sobotka is paying an official visit to Moldova on June 16-19, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Parliament’s press service, the Czech official will meet with President Nicolae Timofti, Head of Parliament Igor Corman, First Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov, Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Vasile Botnari, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Valeriu Chiveri, and with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Gheorghe Gaberi.
On the first day of the visit, Premysl Sobotka will have a meeting with Deputy Head of Parliament Andrian Candu. The two officials will discuss Moldova’s European agenda in the context of the pending signing of the Association Agreement with the EU and the infrastructure projects implemented in the country with financing from the Czech Republic and other development partners. After the meeting, they will give a joint press briefing.
The delegation accompanying the Vide President of the Czech Senate in Moldova includes MPs Veronika Vrecionova and Petr Silar and members of the commission on economy, agriculture and transport.
