Recent scandals are orchestrated by one person, Tiras-Tighina

The politicians who are today in power behave like the previous Communist rulers and use the same control mechanisms, considers the chairman of Tiras-Tighina Association Anatol Caraman. He said that the recent scandals are orchestrated by one person – politician Vlad Plahotniuc, Info-Prim Neo reports. Anatol Caraman told a news conference that the Democratic Party (PDM) turned into a limited liability company where Marian Lupu is the executive director, while Vlad Plahotniuc is the main shareholder. “I want to remind those from the PDM that this party earlier built a bridge in a settlement, but received only one vote in the elections. Plahotniuc’s money will not help the party in the election campaign. If Marian Lupu quits as the party’s leader, the PDM will win nothing in the elections,” said Caraman. He also said that the wiretapping in Moldova became something monstrous. “The phones of almost everyone are being tapped. The people are being followed,” stated Anatol Caraman. As to the recent recordings broadcast by the media, he said that there are different faking technologies and they may be not authentic. “These scandals will lead to the dismemberment of the state. The country’s security and European course are in danger. We call on President Nicolae Timofti and other high-ranking officials to analyze the situation and intervene to calm things down. We do not need a revolt now,” said the chairman of Tiras-Tighina. According to him, if the ruling politicians to not take measures to stabilize the internal situation, civil society representatives will stage events to compel them to cooperate for the country’s benefit. A week ago, one of the components of the Alliance for European Integration – the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) – withdraw from the AEI agreement. In the same period, the National Anticorruption Center started to carry out inspections at the Main State Tax Inspectorate and the Government. Several Liberal-Democratic ministers were questioned in a number of criminal cases, while the media received from anonymous addresses recordings of telephone conversations in which Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean and other officials instruct the State Inspectorate’s head Nicolae Vicol to block the accounts of certain companies. The PLDM declared the inspections were performed by the PDM’s order.
