The presidency of the Supreme Court of Justice was distributed when the Alliance for European Integration shared the posts, the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat said in a program on Publika TV channel. “The given information is contained in the secret annexes of the agreement on the formation of the Alliance for European Integration. I will make public these annexes as I’m sick and tired of speculations and accusations,” Vlad Filat said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. He avoided saying which party holds the presidency of the Supreme Court of Justice, but stated that the PLDM asked for the Audit Office, which is now headed by Serafim Urecheanu, and for the Central Election Commission, headed by Iurie Ciocan. “The people should know who manages the Security and Information Service, the National Bank of Moldova, the National Financial Market Commission. That’s why the annexes must be made public,” said the Liberal-Democratic leader. Vlad Filat said the removal by Parliament of Ion Muruianu from the presidency of the Supreme Court of Justice is not connected with the distribution by the AEI of the posts in the main state institutions. “There are no other conditions in this case. I think Muruianu should have resigned himself,” he stated. In another development, the Liberal-Democratic leader said that Marian Lupu and Mihai Ghimpu are those who must make sure that the head of state is elected. “I do not shirk responsibility, but not only I should deal with this. Marian Lupu initiated the procedure for electing the head of state and is the AEI’s candidate for the presidency. Mihai Ghimpu waits for an executive post to be vacated. I have many other things to do,” he said, denying that he wants to become head of state. Vlad Filat said the initiation of the procedure for electing the head of state may postpone the dismissal of the prosecutor general. “We will not give up and will obtain his dismissal as we want the state institutions to be depoliticized. They set the date of the presidential elections and put off the dismissal for three weeks. This is not a success. But it would be a pity if they resorted to such a move in order to hide somebody,” he stressed.
